Our Guest Speaker

Dr. Keith McCurdy will be the featured speaker for the evening. He is the President and CEO of Total Life Counseling, Inc., and is a licensed professional counselor as well as a licensed marriage and family therapist. With over 30 years of experience in counseling and therapy, Dr. McCurdy has a wealth of knowledge to share.

Dr. McCurdy is an educator, counsellor, and therapist who not only works with families in his local area of Roanoke, VA, but who has travelled the country advising schools and challenging families in their efforts to train their students and raise their children well. What is it about?

The topic of the symposium is "Raising Sturdy Kids in a Fragile World." Dr. McCurdy will address the challenges that parents face in today’s society and explore the concept of "sturdiness" in child development. Attendees can expect practical strategies to help them navigate these challenges effectively.

Who should attend?

We are asking that at least one representative from each family in the school be present for the Symposium. You are welcome and encouraged to invite a friend, but we do ask that children between the ages of 2 and 10 not attend.
